Kerri & Dan had a brisk yet beautiful fall day for their wedding. Sandy Beach was a little chilly and the groomsmen, being gentlemen, graciously loaned their jackets to the ladies. Boom - perfect photo. Then we trollied back to the Red Lion for some warmer photos out back. Beautiful autumn colors! DJ Brett Heeney warmed everyone up even more with some great music all night. He was so good that he actually got a girl up and dancing and her leg was broke! Kelly Hike was second shooting with me again - what a team we make! Jenn & Shawn - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

I know... Enough already with the Red Lion Inn weddings! How can I not blog Jenn & Shawn's wedding? I can't. So here it is. I can try and describe how good this one was but the photos are way better than my words. Jenn and Shawn scheduled plenty of time for photography and the weather and light was perfect. The bridal party was so cooperative and fun - a great tribute to the kind of people Jenn and Shawn are! Jenny & Michelle from Trends & Traditions did another amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly. Michelle from Fresh Focus Productions was there capturing her classic, unobtrusive video footage. Kelly Hike joined me again as second shooter and we raised the bar once again. Alison & Erl - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

I knew going in how important the photographs were to Ali & Erl. I love when our clients tell us that photography is the most important thing to have after the wedding. My mission was to give the photos a "Scottish feel" seeing as the theme of the wedding was Scottish and the groom and his groomsmen were all wearing kilts. I knew the stone church right up the street from the Red Lion had a European castle look to it so that was the plan. Soooo simple. Except that it was Cohasset Day! The streets were closed and there were people everywhere! No worries - it wasn't going to stop me, Ali or Erl and it actually worked out better than I planned. Ali and Erl got into a row boat in the duck pond! Let's hear it for Cohasset Day! Nothing like a beautiful bride with her new husband in a kilt in front of a historic stone church!

Katie & Christos - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

One weekend, two amazing Red Lion Inn weddings! Another great looking couple with great smiles. Add a D700 and hello amazing photos! Her dress was beautiful, they had killer rings, the cake was insane, plus the very cool up-lighting supplied by Joe Toto of Groove Entertainment which added so much vibrance and mood to the photographs. Nichole & Rob - The Red Lion Inn - Cohasset, MA

Another beautiful day for a wedding in Cohasset! Nichole was a stunning bride. As a couple, Nichole & Rob gave so much attention to details making all their guests feel welcome. There were plenty of kids in the wedding which just shows how much they love family & friends. Nichole and her father danced to the Godfather theme! One of their guests actually came out at the end of the song and kneeled before the "Godfather" and kissed his hand. It was pretty funny! So I just had to make this poster. Casey & John - A Red Lion Inn Wedding

Formal photos BEFORE the ceremony - YES!! I wish more couples would break tradition and do this! It's way better than taking them after the ceremony - trust us! It's less stressful, you get fantastic photos of seeing each other for the first time and you can relax after the ceremony and enjoy your cocktail hour! Not one groom has said that this takes anything away from seeing his bride come down the aisle. They all still get choked up. Casey & John had a great wedding at the Red Lion Inn. Katie & Mike - Wedding at the Red Lion Inn 1704

The weather held out for us again! It rained during the ceremony, but no worries, it was inside St. Anthony's Church in Cohasset. It stopped raining when the ceremony ended and off we went to the Cohasset Harbor for some beautiful photos. Katie & Mike did not stress one bit about the weather either way. It's great advice for something you can't control and it may even help things work out like they did that day! They both come from great families with lots of love. The reception at the Red Lion Inn was perfect. DJ Tucker had everyone dancing and singing, especially during The Boss's songs all night. Katie & Mike are both from Jersey - so am I! But I did not see any IROC-Z's in the parking lot.. Enjoy!

Kate & Macky - A Red Lion Inn Wedding

What a perfect February day for a wedding in Cohasset! From the gorgeous dress, the beautiful flowers by Rhapsody in Bloom, the music during the ceremony, the great speeches, and the DJ from NY - everything was amazing. Even the DJ's speakers were "Mackie" brand! We had fun shooting Kate & Macky's engagements in Cohasset and even more fun at their wedding. Kate walked down the aisle to "Feeling Good" (the song in this slideshow) and then they both walked out to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" - a nice touch to mix it up a little. DJ Eliot Wilson brought a little Brooklyn action to New England and kept the floor packed all night. We will add the wedding photos to the engagement session album online at Pictage soon! Meghan & Ryan - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

We love weddings at the Red Lion Inn! Meghan and Ryan had a great one. It was classic New England winter wedding in late December. Meaning it was freezing outside! Everyone managed to stay warm by dancing all night. We were also joined by our second shooter Kelly Hike and it worked out great. Enjoy the show!

Joi & Scott - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Another great wedding at the Red Lion Inn! More unbelievable October weather allowed us to get some fun shots at Cohasset Harbor. Joi and Scott had a beautiful ceremony. The tunes were, once again, amazingly spun by Brett Heeney of Crackerjack Entertainment. Weddings like this in October make us wish there were 50 days in the month!!

Stephanie & Seth - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Stephanie has a smile that lights up a room! And Seth makes her laugh a lot. A perfect match?? Pretty much. We photographed their engagements a while ago and they came out great so we knew this wedding would be amazing. The weather was unreal. October has been the best month of the summer. Wait, what?
We took the formals before the ceremony. Something we, Steph and Seth would HIGHLY recommend. It allows for some great shots of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time all dressed up and takes the stress out of getting the formals done beforehand. We took a quick ride to a nearby pumpkin patch for some fun October photos. These guys were the perfect Bride & Groom - just smiles all around, all day. I love these photos! Sarah & Mike - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Brides take note! If you want your wedding to be crazy fun then just do what Sarah did. Dance and then dance and then do some more dancing and then dance again. The energy she had was unreal and then I could see that it runs in her family with all the dancing they did! Melis and I both agreed - this was easily one of our favorite weddings ever. Sarah and Mike know how to party and it was infectious - everyone had a great time! We are still tired from watching her. Again - The Red Lion Inn rules!

Michelle & Bill - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Michelle & Bill had a FANTASTIC wedding! The weather was crazy good! We had plenty of time to visit Sandy Beach and The Lightkeeper's House for some great photos. Then we get to the Red Lion Inn which is such a great venue. The staff are so nice and the place is made for photos. Plus you add Brett Heeney of Crackerjack Entertainment spinning the tunes and you cannot go wrong. The place was jammin all night long which just makes taking photos that much easier and so much more fun. Look at the perma-smile on Michelle!

Natalie & Eric - The Red Lion Inn

We had the honor of photographing Natalie & Eric's wedding this past Friday at the Red Lion Inn. It was a great day! The weather was nice, the families were so nice to work with and both the Flower Girl and Bride were red heads! Nothing like a beautiful bride with red hair! All 3 of my sisters and mother have red hair and when I first laid eyes on Melissa I thought she was a red head. I'll never live that one down. She's blonde. It was at a bar and the lights were red. And maybe my eyes were too... Anyways here are some of our favorites from Natalie & Eric's wedding.

Red Lion Inn Bridal Showcase

One of our favorite locations to photograph weddings had a successful Bridal Showcase yesterday and we were there. The Red Lion Inn has a beautiful 2 floor, open beam barn to host weddings. It is perfect for photography. The 2nd floor is a large balcony that goes around the entire perimeter of the room allowing for gorgeous, elevated photos of the ceremony and reception. We shared a table with florist Kelly Dolloff from Artistic Blossoms in Marshfield. Highly recommended! We also met Mark Willand from Mark Willand Productions who had a table next to ours - also recommended!
