Heather & Karsten - A Rosecliff Wedding - Newport, RI

There's a reason this place was featured in the Great Gatsby, True Lies and Amistad. Heather & Karsten couldn't have selected a more beautiful venue for a wedding.

Katie & Tom - An Indian Pond Country Club Wedding

I had posted 11 images from the wedding on facebook late one night right after the wedding. I come into the studio the next morning and listen to my messages. Tom and Katie had called us at 1am (the same night we posted the images and the night before they left for their honeymoon) to tell us how much they loved the photos and what an amazing job we did. Who does that?? It was one of the nicest, most sincere surprises we have recieved. I could listen to that message all day. So here's a little addition to the 11 photos we posted on facebook. Katie & Tom - you guys are the best! I hope your honeymoon is unforgettable! Look how beautiful an Indian Pond wedding is!

Liz & Allen - A Bradley Estate Wedding

Easily one of our new favorite venues! This place is beautiful. We can't wait to take our daughter Kira here just to walk around. Bradley Estate where have you been all my life?? Liz and Allen are the perfect couple and they had the perfect wedding. I told Allen this is exactly what I want Kira's wedding to be. In 45 years. Brett Heeney had everyone cutting rug all night once again. Enjoy the slide show!

The best way to watch is to press play and then pause it until the entire movie loads. Then press play again.

Erin & Craig - A State Room Wedding

The rain went away and the views of the Boston skyline were jaw dropping. Everything worked out for this wedding. As a couple, Erin & Craig had more fun on this day than most people have at Disney world. A huge help when it comes to fun on the dance floor - which was non-stop all night - is DJ Brett Heeney of Crackerjack Entertainment. The State Room is one of Boston's most stunning venues for a wedding. The view, the service, the food - all amazing. Kelly joined me again as a fantastic second shooter. Here are some images I captured throughout the day for your viewing pleasure:

Laura & Alex - An Atlantica Wedding - Cohasset, MA

They met in Turkmenistan. Yes. Turkmenistan! And now here they are getting married in Cohasset, MA. Turkmenistan was probably sorry to see them leave. They are two of the nicest people we have worked with yet. Their engagement session was so fun so we knew the wedding was going to be a good one. We love Atlantica weddings. Such a perfect location in Cohasset Harbor and walking distance from the Lightkeepers house. Enjoy!

Shannon & Bill - A New Seabury Wedding

Our first wedding of the season and man was it a good one! Shannon was one of the happiest brides. EVER. Her and Bill are definitely meant for each other. The weather at the beautiful New Seabury Country Club held out and we captured some amazing photos outside. Inside, DJ Danny Walsh helped us out again with great music and non-stop dancing. Enjoy the slide show!

Nicole & Jonathan - A Blackrock Country Club Wedding

The Blizzard of December 20th! What could be better for a winter, Christmas themed wedding than a snowstorm! Nicole wanted a winter wonderland and she got one! Kelly Hike helped me capture all the beautiful winter details. I think Melissa and I made the right choice when we purchased our Honda Ridgeline! The limo couldn't get up Nicole's street! Here's a collage of photos I captured during the day. Visit my Facebook gallery to see more images here:

Stacia & Charlie - A Granite Links Wedding - Quincy, MA

The award for biggest smile goes to.... I think you'll see.
Stacia and Charlie gathered all their family & friends for a crazy good celebration at Granite Links! Yes it was cold out but this is New England! The colors outside were too good to miss. Plus any chance to get my Gossamer driver cover and barely used golf clubs in a photo has to be taken. Stacia has a better swing than me and she's in a wedding gown!! Enjoy the slideshow!

Kerri & Dan - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

Kerri & Dan had a brisk yet beautiful fall day for their wedding. Sandy Beach was a little chilly and the groomsmen, being gentlemen, graciously loaned their jackets to the ladies. Boom - perfect photo. Then we trollied back to the Red Lion for some warmer photos out back. Beautiful autumn colors! DJ Brett Heeney warmed everyone up even more with some great music all night. He was so good that he actually got a girl up and dancing and her leg was broke! Kelly Hike was second shooting with me again - what a team we make! Enjoy some of my favorites I captured in the slideshow below:

Rena & Will - A State Room Wedding - Boston, MA

This one had it all. The State Room is jaw dropping. The view is amazing even at night. Jenny from Trends & Traditions was again making sure the celebration was smooth and stress free. Fairytale Productions captured artistic footage all night. Rena & Will planned a spectacular wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it. I tried to kick it up a notch... a sax player, man-hole steam, traffic, dark alleys and then some! It was so much fun. Thank you Rena & Will!

Tammy & John - A Hotel Marlowe Wedding

Tammy & John picked such a cool & funky location for their wedding! The Hotel Marlowe has such character and amazing locations. They planned it right with plenty of time for photographs outside along the Charles and inside throughout all the unique settings. John recently finished the Fire Academy and his dad read the Firemen's Prayer at the reception (the photo where John is raising a glass in the background). I had never heard it before. It was a tear-jerker. Here it is:
___________________________________________
When I am called to duty, God
Wherever flames may rage
Give me strength to save a life
Whatever be its age.

Let me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate.

Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently
To put the fire out.

I want to fill my calling
To give the best in me,
To guard my friend and neighbor
And protect their property.

And, if, according to your will,
I have to lose my life,
Please bless, with your protecting hand,
My family and my wife.
___________________________________________

And on that note... enjoy the slide show! (Could Tammy have a brighter smile??)

Jenn & Shawn - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

I know... Enough already with the Red Lion Inn weddings! How can I not blog Jenn & Shawn's wedding? I can't. So here it is. I can try and describe how good this one was but the photos are way better than my words. Jenn and Shawn scheduled plenty of time for photography and the weather and light was perfect. The bridal party was so cooperative and fun - a great tribute to the kind of people Jenn and Shawn are! Jenny & Michelle from Trends & Traditions did another amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly. Michelle from Fresh Focus Productions was there capturing her classic, unobtrusive video footage. Kelly Hike joined me again as second shooter and we raised the bar once again. Enjoy some of my favorites in the slide show:

Alison & Erl - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

I knew going in how important the photographs were to Ali & Erl. I love when our clients tell us that photography is the most important thing to have after the wedding. My mission was to give the photos a "Scottish feel" seeing as the theme of the wedding was Scottish and the groom and his groomsmen were all wearing kilts. I knew the stone church right up the street from the Red Lion had a European castle look to it so that was the plan. Soooo simple. Except that it was Cohasset Day! The streets were closed and there were people everywhere! No worries - it wasn't going to stop me, Ali or Erl and it actually worked out better than I planned. Ali and Erl got into a row boat in the duck pond! Let's hear it for Cohasset Day! Nothing like a beautiful bride with her new husband in a kilt in front of a historic stone church!

Katie & Christos - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

One weekend, two amazing Red Lion Inn weddings! Another great looking couple with great smiles. Add a D700 and hello amazing photos! Her dress was beautiful, they had killer rings, the cake was insane, plus the very cool up-lighting supplied by Joe Toto of Groove Entertainment which added so much vibrance and mood to the photographs. Enjoy the slide show!

sara & nick - a minot beach wedding

It rained most of the day and all night - but mother minot gave us 20 minutes of no rain for a beautiful beach ceremony at Sara's grandmother's home and just enough time for some beautiful photos out on the rocks. Then it was off to Sara's parents house on Damons Point for a tented reception. Sara's mom made her gorgeous dress by hand. It was beautiful. I'll be sure to send all our brides to her in the future. Just kidding Deanna!
The April Hall Quartet was the fantastic live entertainment for the evening. Kelly Hike joined me again as an amazing second shooter. It's such an advantage to have a great second shooter at weddings. I've been using and loving the new Nikon D700. I wish I had this camera since day one. Here are a few of my solo favorites and then 54 more in the slide show!

Kate & Joe - A Lyman Estate wedding

Not a dull moment to be had here! Kate & Joe sang at their ceremony - a rare and special moment that I've never seen before. The DJ's had both the Irish & Italian families dancing and singing together all night. I had a toad join me for some ring shots and the Lyman Estate was beautiful! Kelly Hike joined me again and did another fantastic job. Mark Willand and his wife were the videographers and were amazingly discreet. The photos will be available soon and can be viewed and purchased here: www.pictage.com/535330

Here are a few, or 63, of my favorites I captured throughout the day. Enjoy the slide show!

Nichole & Rob - The Red Lion Inn - Cohasset, MA

Another beautiful day for a wedding in Cohasset! Nichole was a stunning bride. As a couple, Nichole & Rob gave so much attention to details making all their guests feel welcome. There were plenty of kids in the wedding which just shows how much they love family & friends. Nichole and her father danced to the Godfather theme! One of their guests actually came out at the end of the song and kneeled before the "Godfather" and kissed his hand. It was pretty funny! So I just had to make this poster. The photos will be available soon and can be viewed and purchased here: www.pictage.com/532454
In the meantime take the cannolis and enjoy the slideshow.

Sarah & Jake - A Grazing Fields Farm wedding in Buzzards Bay

A classic New England horse farm! Grazing Fields Farm - how much more beautiful can you get? Although there was not a horse in sight it was one amazing location for a wedding reception. I had the pleasure of second shooting for Kelly Hike - I owed her big time! She is doing an amazing job second shooting for me while Melissa is taking care of our newborn Kira. Here are a bunch of my favorites from the day. You can see more great images from Kelly on her blog here. Enjoy!

Melissa & Rob - A Newton Wedding

A Rolls Royce, an awesomely long veil, a beautiful church, arm wrestling and the 3 Amigos. We had fun with Melissa and Rob during their engagement shoot and we had more fun with them at the wedding! Our assistant Stephanie was with me on this one and she grabbed some great shots also!

Casey & John - A Red Lion Inn Wedding

Formal photos BEFORE the ceremony - YES!! I wish more couples would break tradition and do this! It's way better than taking them after the ceremony - trust us! It's less stressful, you get fantastic photos of seeing each other for the first time and you can relax after the ceremony and enjoy your cocktail hour! Not one groom has said that this takes anything away from seeing his bride come down the aisle. They all still get choked up. Casey & John had a great wedding at the Red Lion Inn. Here's a sneak peek - look how beautiful that dress is going down the stairs. Enjoy.
