Nicole and Tim - Wedding at Wequassett Resort, Cape Cod

I do believe there may not be a nicer place to have a wedding in Massachusetts than the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Cape Cod. There may not be a nicer couple than Nicole and Tim either. Melissa and I had the honor to have an engagement session with them in Boston last year and we found out how nice, happy and in love these two are. The weather was sketchy - it was drizzling before the ceremony. Tim's dad pulled out his Macbook Air and brought it down to us outside to check the radar. We all agreed to keep the ceremony outside and it was the right call! This is also the second time a bunny has made an appearance during the photos! Keep a look out for him in the slideshow. The floral designs by Clementine Floral were amazing as were the speeches and the band. Our second shooters Kelly & Alissa were with me and did another fantastic job. I have a few of their shots below my slideshow. I cannot wait to design Nicole & Tim's album. Enjoy!

And here are a few favorites of mine that Kelly & Alissa grabbed:

Laura & Mark - Wedding at the Sea View, Dennisport, MA

An outdoor ceremony, photos on the beach, perfect Cape Cod weather and a couple as nice as Laura & Mark make for a pretty sweet occasion! The Sea View is a beautiful, newer venue on the cape in a great location. Kelly Hike, our crazy good second shooter was with me while Melissa was home changing diapers and feeding every hour! I posted of few of my favorite shots that Kelly grabbed below the slideshow. And I had to post my favorite shot from the entire wedding - it's in the slideshow but I think Mark's jump deserves it's own viewing. Enjoy!

Keryn & Dan - Wedding at Ocean Edge Resort, Brewster MA

The photos are way more important than my words. Plus we have a newborn and there's no sleep to be had so I may not make sense! So I'll be short and sweet - Ocean Edge Resort is beautiful, the weather was perfect and Keryn & Dan had a great wedding. They had a great sense of detail and family that we love to see!

Katie & Mike - Wedding at the Red Lion Inn 1704

The weather held out for us again! It rained during the ceremony, but no worries, it was inside St. Anthony's Church in Cohasset. It stopped raining when the ceremony ended and off we went to the Cohasset Harbor for some beautiful photos. Katie & Mike did not stress one bit about the weather either way. It's great advice for something you can't control and it may even help things work out like they did that day! They both come from great families with lots of love. The reception at the Red Lion Inn was perfect. DJ Tucker had everyone dancing and singing, especially during The Boss's songs all night. Katie & Mike are both from Jersey - so am I! But I did not see any IROC-Z's in the parking lot.. Enjoy!

Linda & Eddy - A beach wedding in Onset and a reception at the Beachmoor

Perfect, perfect, perfect. This didn't even feel like we were working. Linda, Eddy and their family & friends are some of the nicest people we have ever met. You can sometimes judge a family's love by counting how many people cry at the wedding. We lost count. From the amazing beach front house in Onset to the water front Beachmoor restaurant and the amazing weather all day - you couldn't have planned a more perfect day. We had our fantastic second shooter, Kelly Hike, with us again. And the gift Eddy and Linda gave us deserves it's own blog post but for now enjoy the slideshow...

a boy and a girl

Do these 2 photos not sum up what being a boy and being a girl is?? I took them both this past weekend. The first one is Charlie from a family shoot at World's End in Hingham. He's sticking his tongue out at his off-camera brother and sister - classic! The second one is from a wedding in Onset. During sunset shots of the bride & groom some family members followed us down to the water and I was able to grab this shot of the little girl. When I saw it while editing it stopped me in my tracks. I was so lucky to catch this frame at the right moment - it just says little girl perfectly to me. Maybe because we are going to have a little girl in June and someday I wish to take a photo of her just like this.

Facebook Wedding Photo Album

Do you use Facebook? You should! What an easy way to network and keep in touch with friends and family. I created a new wedding photo album (each album is limited to 60 photos) that contains some favorite photos from each of the many weddings we have photographed over the past few years. It's a great way to see our work over many weddings. If you are a new bride interested in seeing more of our photos or a past bride looking to see what our favorite photo is from your wedding then visit this link: kjeldm photography facebook wedding album

Kate & Brendan - An Indian Pond Wedding

Weddings at Indian Pond Country Club are amazing! The place is beautiful with plenty of space for all kinds of wedding fun. We knew Kate & Brendan's wedding would be different - they were the ones who jumped off the Union Street Bridge into the North River for their engagement photos! They had an acapella group during the cocktail hour. They had a photo booth for guests during the reception from Boston Photobooth Rental which was a huge hit! They also had the incredible band "Flipside" to keep everyone on the dance floor. It was a night to remember. Hopefully these photos will help! And after you watch the slideshow don't miss all five 360 degree panoramic photos during the night here. Once there, click and drag the image to spin around! Enjoy:

Kate & Macky - A Red Lion Inn Wedding

What a perfect February day for a wedding in Cohasset! From the gorgeous dress, the beautiful flowers by Rhapsody in Bloom, the music during the ceremony, the great speeches, and the DJ from NY - everything was amazing. Even the DJ's speakers were "Mackie" brand! We had fun shooting Kate & Macky's engagements in Cohasset and even more fun at their wedding. Kate walked down the aisle to "Feeling Good" (the song in this slideshow) and then they both walked out to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" - a nice touch to mix it up a little. DJ Eliot Wilson brought a little Brooklyn action to New England and kept the floor packed all night. We will add the wedding photos to the engagement session album online at Pictage soon! Enjoy the slide show:

South Shore Living and Cape Cod Magazine features

South Shore Living magazine and Cape Cod Magazine have a special wedding section in their current issues. And we have 2 weddings featured! They do a great job designing and laying out the articles and it makes our work look even better. Nicole & Brian and Carmel & Wayne both had amazing weddings in Cohasset. Nicole and Brian had their reception at the Red Lion Inn. Carmel & Wayne had theirs at Atlantica. The south shore has so many incredible locations for receptions. We are grateful and we love getting featured - especially for the couples - it's another memory they can hold on to and show their kids!

baby christopher!

Mariessa and her new son Christopher visited us at our studio yesterday. We shot Mariessa & Jim's wedding on Martha's Vineyard in June 2006. It was an amazing wedding! We didn't have a blog back then but it would have been a great post. But not as good as meeting Christopher! One of the cutest kids I have seen. He was all smiles so I had to run and get the camera. Look how handsome this guy is! I threw in a few shots from the wedding also (below the slideshow)...

Carrie & Mike - A New Year's Eve wedding at the Sheraton Framingham

Happy New Year! We rang in 2008 with Carrie, Mike and their family and friends at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. It was a fantastic New Year's Eve wedding! We were honored to have our first photo taken in 2008 to be of them kissing at midnight! Check out the custom fabricated arbor - Mike has some skills that will come in handy later on in married life...

Meghan & Ryan - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

We love weddings at the Red Lion Inn! Meghan and Ryan had a great one. It was classic New England winter wedding in late December. Meaning it was freezing outside! Everyone managed to stay warm by dancing all night. We were also joined by our second shooter Kelly Hike and it worked out great. Enjoy the show!

Stephanie & Seth - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Stephanie has a smile that lights up a room! And Seth makes her laugh a lot. A perfect match?? Pretty much. We photographed their engagements a while ago and they came out great so we knew this wedding would be amazing. The weather was unreal. October has been the best month of the summer. Wait, what?
We took the formals before the ceremony. Something we, Steph and Seth would HIGHLY recommend. It allows for some great shots of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time all dressed up and takes the stress out of getting the formals done beforehand. We took a quick ride to a nearby pumpkin patch for some fun October photos. These guys were the perfect Bride & Groom - just smiles all around, all day. I love these photos! And as a bonus they got married at the Red Lion Inn! Feel free to leave comments by clicking on "comments" below the slideshow. Enjoy!

Sarah & Mike - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Brides take note! If you want your wedding to be crazy fun then just do what Sarah did. Dance and then dance and then do some more dancing and then dance again. The energy she had was unreal and then I could see that it runs in her family with all the dancing they did! Melis and I both agreed - this was easily one of our favorite weddings ever. Sarah and Mike know how to party and it was infectious - everyone had a great time! We are still tired from watching her. Again - The Red Lion Inn rules!

Ashley & Steve - Sea Crest Resort, North Falmouth

Wow. Talk about a party. Melissa and I did not meet Ashley & Steve until their wedding day. They hired us over the phone and through emails. We always wonder how the day will go when that happens. So we pull up to Ashley's parents house, I turn the car off and wonder why the radio is still on. Melis says to me "look in the window." Before we even get our camera bags out of the car we know what kind of day it's going to be. The bride and her girls had the music cranked and were singing and dancing like the reception already started. The place was hoppin. And it never stopped. DJ Danny Walsh was up to the task of keeping everyone sweaty and dancing at the Sea Crest. We had so much fun with everyone!

Leah & Doug - A Beach Breeze Inn Wedding

Leah & Doug had a perfect Cape Cod wedding in Falmouth at the Beach Breeze Inn. This is why we love doing weddings on the Cape. The food from The Crazy Chefs was phenomenal and the Beach Breeze Inn is a great location for a wedding. It's right down the street from the ocean and not far from Sphor Gardens where we took some great family photos!

Katie & Brian - Hyatt Regency Cambridge Wedding

The views from the Empress Room at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge are unbelievable. The sunken dance floor has floor to ceiling windows with full views of the Boston Skyline. Katie & Brian picked an amazing location for their reception which was fantastic. The dance floor was packed all night mostly due to Crackerjack Entertainment again. Katie planned an exceptional party for her guests and family including her custom designed dress, framed family & wedding portraits at all the tables and a cupcake tower. Not to mention the spectacular views of Beantown for everyone to appreciate! And yes Brian is a bold Redskins fan (I miss John Riggins...) Take a look:

Tammy & Matt - A Regis College Wedding

Who knew Regis College was such a nice location for a wedding & reception?? We didn't until Tammy & Matt's wedding which was a great one. From the ceremony on the grounds in front of Norman Tower, the casual formals on the lawn in front of (and on top of) the rock wall, to the reception inside the historic College Hall Foyer. It was perfect for photos. Our mission laid out by Tammy was to get candid shots of Matt smiling. No worries there - he was smiling the whole day. The bride and groom always set the tone for the reception and Tammy & Matt did a great job. It was a perfect day! Here are some of our favorites:

Michelle & Bill - The Red Lion Inn, Cohasset

Michelle & Bill had a FANTASTIC wedding! The weather was crazy good! We had plenty of time to visit Sandy Beach and The Lightkeeper's House for some great photos. Then we get to the Red Lion Inn which is such a great venue. The staff are so nice and the place is made for photos. Plus you add Brett Heeney of Crackerjack Entertainment spinning the tunes and you cannot go wrong. The place was jammin all night long which just makes taking photos that much easier and so much more fun. Look at the perma-smile on Michelle!

Emily & Bo - A Surprise Minot Beach Wedding!

We met Emily & Bo when we had their engagement session not too long ago and they just pulled off a surprise wedding at her parent's gorgeous home right on Minot Beach! The guests thought they were there for an engagement party... It was beautiful - I wish all of our weddings could be this special. We thought Emily and her new husband Bo were nice when we met them and it turns out they are even nicer now that we had the honor to photograph their wedding. The weather was perfect even though it looked like it was going to downpour just after the ceremony which was right on the beach. Beach weddings are the BEST. Everyone is so happy and casual yet it is still intimate. Enjoy the photos!

Formal bunny

Every now and then it pays to be in the right place at the right time. With a camera ready to shoot helps too. Check out this rabbit hanging out while Melis is lining everyone up for a shot. Jenn & Scott - New Seabury Country Club, Mashpee

I don't think a second went by when Jenn was not smiling. That's a good thing - it is her wedding day. But...... she had a broken collarbone!! It didn't phase her one bit. Jenn and Scott had perfect weather for the convoy of at least 11 golf carts down to the beach. DJ Danny Walsh did an exceptional job of pumping out the tunes and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Hobart's Fine Florals provided the gorgeous flowers and Sweet Alternatives did an amazing job with the cupcake tower!

Carmel & Wayne - Atlantica

Another gorgeous day for a wedding! Carmel & Wayne are super nice people and they planned a great wedding for their friends and family. We stopped in at the Cohasset Harbor Inn for some "getting ready" shots of the ladies and then off to St. Mary of the Sacred Heart in Hanover for a perfect ceremony. From there we stopped in Cohasset Harbor for some great photos near the replica of the top portion of the Minot's Ledge Light. And then onto Atlantica for the reception where there was plenty of dancing & celebration...

This felt like a destination wedding! The Commandant’s House is such a cool spot. The house itself is beautiful and then you have the USS Constitution, Boston Harbor and the skyline! The weather was PERFECT. Catherine & Jimmy are such a laid back couple with great families. Catherine and all her sisters/bridesmaids were stunning! Melissa even sweet talked a sailor into letting us on the Constitution for some photos - The Navy rules! It was a great celebration! Check out some of the shots:

Destination Wedding - Kelly & Chuck in St. John!

Wow! A perfect couple, a perfect location, and perfect light. Are you kidding me?? We couldn't ask for more. Kelly & Chuck are the nicest, most genuine people. We are so honored they hired us to come to St. John and spend their day with them and their families. Trunk Bay Beach in St. John is an incredible location. The rain stopped just in time for the ceremony and gave everyone such beautiful light & cloud formations for the ceremony. Then it was off to Morgan's Mango Restaurant for the celebration. The "Chewbacca's" and other rum concoctions were flowing. The food was unbelievable. Kelly and Chuck really made it worthwhile for the 60 or so guests that joined them. Take a look at the slideshow for a taste of what it was like...

I'm Irish, Melissa is Irish, Erin & Peter are Irish, the band was Irish - what could be better! The wedding was awesome. The band was Erin's Melody and we would recommend them to anyone who loves great Irish music. They were phenomenal - the dancing never stopped and neither did the bride, groom, family & guests. Natalie & Eric - The Red Lion Inn

We had the honor of photographing Natalie & Eric's wedding this past Friday at the Red Lion Inn. It was a great day! The weather was nice, the families were so nice to work with and both the Flower Girl and Bride were red heads! Nothing like a beautiful bride with red hair! All 3 of my sisters and mother have red hair and when I first laid eyes on Melissa I thought she was a red head. I'll never live that one down. She's blonde. It was at a bar and the lights were red. And maybe my eyes were too... Anyways here are some of our favorites from Natalie & Eric's wedding.

Red Lion Inn Bridal Showcase

One of our favorite locations to photograph weddings had a successful Bridal Showcase yesterday and we were there. The Red Lion Inn has a beautiful 2 floor, open beam barn to host weddings. It is perfect for photography. The 2nd floor is a large balcony that goes around the entire perimeter of the room allowing for gorgeous, elevated photos of the ceremony and reception. We shared a table with florist Kelly Dolloff from Artistic Blossoms in Marshfield. Highly recommended! We also met Mark Willand from Mark Willand Productions who had a table next to ours - also recommended!
Here's a little video highlight from our day followed by some of our favorite photos we shot at the Red Lion.
