Tammy & Matt - A Regis College Wedding
Who knew Regis College was such a nice location for a wedding & reception?? We didn't until Tammy & Matt's wedding which was a great one. From the ceremony on the grounds in front of Norman Tower, the casual formals on the lawn in front of (and on top of) the rock wall, to the reception inside the historic College Hall Foyer. It was perfect for photos. Our mission laid out by Tammy was to get candid shots of Matt smiling. No worries there - he was smiling the whole day. The bride and groom always set the tone for the reception and Tammy & Matt did a great job. It was a perfect day! Here are some of our favorites:
Kate & Brendan in print! South Shore Living Magazine - Last Scene Here
This photo is easily my favorite engagement photo we have ever done. South Shore Living Magazine was kind enough to print a follow-up photo from our original bridge jumping photo on last month's cover. Kate and Brendan were brave enough to take us up on our offer of a free engagement session if they were willing to jump into the North River. And now that moment is immortalized forever in print for everyone on the South Shore to see! Getting published is so cool and we thank Chris Lewis at South Shore Living for hooking us up. If you live in Marshfield there are 2 things you do without fail every year. Go to the beach and go to the Marshfield Fair. We live in Marshfield so here we go - it's Fair time again. We have been going every year since I moved here in 1994. And every year I get an ego boost when the clown berates me publicly and then gets his ass sunk. Twice! I always seem to sink him right after he lets a great insult fly. Perfect timing. I sink the clown for everyone who has ever been made fun of by a clown. Every year he calls me Pointdexter. Every year he gets wet.
Michelle & Bill had a FANTASTIC wedding! The weather was crazy good! We had plenty of time to visit Sandy Beach and The Lightkeeper's House for some great photos. Then we get to the Red Lion Inn which is such a great venue. The staff are so nice and the place is made for photos. Plus you add Brett Heeney of Crackerjack Entertainment spinning the tunes and you cannot go wrong. The place was jammin all night long which just makes taking photos that much easier and so much more fun. Look at the perma-smile on Michelle!
We met Emily & Bo when we had their engagement session not too long ago and they just pulled off a surprise wedding at her parent's gorgeous home right on Minot Beach! The guests thought they were there for an engagement party... It was beautiful - I wish all of our weddings could be this special. We thought Emily and her new husband Bo were nice when we met them and it turns out they are even nicer now that we had the honor to photograph their wedding. The weather was perfect even though it looked like it was going to downpour just after the ceremony which was right on the beach. Beach weddings are the BEST. Everyone is so happy and casual yet it is still intimate. Enjoy the photos!
I have some blogging to catch up on! Melis and I went to Scituate Light early to stake a spot at the end of the jetty for the Luminaria show. The whole town gets into lighting candles along the coastline and it looks so nice at dusk. I managed to get a couple of decent shots. Some candles are lit in bags with sand but these were inside milk containers. We also went to the Shark Weigh-In at the Scituate Town Fishing Pier to see some Great Whites or Makos or anything. Nothing. Not one shark was caught in 2 days. I guess our waters are safe! Or just overfished.
I remember watching the original Thriller video on MTV with my younger sister. She was probably 4 or 5. I will never forget the utter terror that took over her when Michael turned into a werewolf. She was shaking and screaming in terror and for years I couldn't listen to that album without terrifying her. I used to threaten to play it when she was annoying me. Nice huh? Hopefully this version won't send her into a trembling relapse:
