Alison & Erl - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

I knew going in how important the photographs were to Ali & Erl. I love when our clients tell us that photography is the most important thing to have after the wedding. My mission was to give the photos a "Scottish feel" seeing as the theme of the wedding was Scottish and the groom and his groomsmen were all wearing kilts. I knew the stone church right up the street from the Red Lion had a European castle look to it so that was the plan. Soooo simple. Except that it was Cohasset Day! The streets were closed and there were people everywhere! No worries - it wasn't going to stop me, Ali or Erl and it actually worked out better than I planned. Ali and Erl got into a row boat in the duck pond! Let's hear it for Cohasset Day! Nothing like a beautiful bride with her new husband in a kilt in front of a historic stone church!

Katie & Christos - A Red Lion Inn Wedding - Cohasset, MA

One weekend, two amazing Red Lion Inn weddings! Another great looking couple with great smiles. Add a D700 and hello amazing photos! Her dress was beautiful, they had killer rings, the cake was insane, plus the very cool up-lighting supplied by Joe Toto of Groove Entertainment which added so much vibrance and mood to the photographs. Enjoy the slide show!

sara & nick - a minot beach wedding

It rained most of the day and all night - but mother minot gave us 20 minutes of no rain for a beautiful beach ceremony at Sara's grandmother's home and just enough time for some beautiful photos out on the rocks. Then it was off to Sara's parents house on Damons Point for a tented reception. Sara's mom made her gorgeous dress by hand. It was beautiful. I'll be sure to send all our brides to her in the future. Just kidding Deanna!
The April Hall Quartet was the fantastic live entertainment for the evening. Kelly Hike joined me again as an amazing second shooter. It's such an advantage to have a great second shooter at weddings. I've been using and loving the new Nikon D700. I wish I had this camera since day one. Here are a few of my solo favorites and then 54 more in the slide show!

Laura & Alex - engagement photos in the mud...

Mud = love. A canoe on the river at the right time of day = amazing photos! Laura & Alex wanted to going canoeing and mudding for their engagement photos. I only went canoeing twice before and had no clue what mudding was so SIGN ME UP! Turns out they have only been in a canoe once before! I thought they were veterans - nope! So we winged it and had a real fun shoot. It was my first official shoot with the new Nikon D700. The camera is unreal. And I kept it dry - unlike Laura & Alex!
